Network Lightwalls
Optical fibre has been woven onto a steel warp so that light shines out from the whole length of the fibres. The lightwalls are made of metal mesh and steel plates, with the light passed through and reflected from them being visible through the wall. The multi-layered, curved structure makes the light fascinatingly alive, and different from different angles of view. Architect Mikko Summanen art weaver Sirkka Paikkari.
